We finally got the ’66 Dart track worthy. First race was 24 hours of Lemon’s Arse-Freeze-Apolooza 2013 at Sears Point, Sanoma, Ca.
We were “Team Coming From Behind”.
Drivers for this race were Greg Herren, Chris Pomykala, Brian Garcia, and Tim Herren.
We managed to be first in line for tech. Judges were not happy with our redesigned fuel fill which eliminated the OEM fuel fill on the side of the rear quarter panel. These are prone to leaking both on the track and when fueling. We will have to appeal to keep or set up for future Lemons races. We have elicited the assistance of Bob Tarozzi to help present or case from a Chrysler engineering perspective.
Judges were happy however with our Thursty Tunnel Ram set up stopping to pose with the beast.
We were fortunate to only have 2 cars hit us resulting in only minor scrapes. We finished the 2 day endurance race 2nd in class B, and 12th out of 183 cars.
